International Sterilization Protocol & Digital Workflow

travel in covid coronavirus | sterilization is must

In dental tourism, trust begins with safety. When international patients travel for care, sterilization and infection control are often the biggest concerns. At Royal Dental Clinics, patient safety has been a core value for over four decades — long before the rise of global medical travel. We’ve built an ecosystem where cleanliness is measurable, documented, and digitally tracked. Every operatory and surface is managed via disinfection protocols. And there are ETO Systems in place for instruments ensuring every patient experiences an environment that meets or exceeds cleanliness standards. Explore how Royal Dental Clinics maintains world-class sterilization and digital dentistry workflows for NRI and global patients. Learn about our sterilization protocols, NABH-ready Jaipur centre, and complete digital design-to-delivery process.

5-Step Disinfection Cycle

This creates a chain of accountability — every instrument used can be digitally traced to the exact date, autoclave, and cycle it was sterilised in.

  1. Pre-Cleaning: Used instruments are disinfected using solutions to dissolve organic material.
  2. Ultrasonic Cleaning: Instruments undergo ultrasonic vibration to remove microscopic debris from hinges and surfaces.
  3. Rinsing & Drying: High-pressure purified water rinse followed by medical-grade hot-air drying.
  4. Autoclaving: Each batch is sealed in pouches and processed in Class-B autoclaves with digital logs.
  5. Storage: Sterilised pouches are sealed and stored well.

International Certifications and Standards

Royal Dental Clinics operates under ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality management systems. Our upcoming Royal Dental Hospital in Jaipur is being designed to comply with NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers) standards — the gold benchmark in Indian healthcare. This ensures:

  1. Separate sterile and non-sterile zones.
  2. Dedicated sterilization rooms for each operatory.
  3. Centralised air-filtration with HEPA control.
  4. Biochemical waste segregation and digital tracking.

Digital Workflow: From Scan to Smile

Step 1: CBCT & 3D Imaging:

Patients undergo cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) for accurate bone mapping and implant planning.

Step 2: Digital Impression & Intraoral Scanning

Using optical scanners, we capture a 3D replica of the oral cavity — eliminating messy molds and improving accuracy.

Step 3: CAD/CAM Designing

Our in-house design lab uses CAD/CAM (Computer-Aided Design & Manufacturing) to design customized crowns and frameworks.

Step 4: SAPTeeth™ Prosthesis Fabrication

Royal Dental’s proprietary SAPTeeth™ polymer teeth are milled using digital blueprints — lightweight, shock-absorbent, and ideal for air travel.

Step 5: Digital Fit Check & Occlusion Balancing

Digital articulators and scanners verify bite alignment, ensuring perfect fit in one visit.

Step 6: Documentation & Cloud Records

All digital files — X-rays, 3D scans, photos, and lab designs — are stored securely in our cloud-based patient record system.

Integration: Sterility + Technology = Safety 2.0

By combining sterilization and digital systems, Royal Dental has redefined what infection-safe innovation looks like. This seamless integration ensures that precision and protection coexist in every smile. Treatment planning, design, and prosthesis are completed in-house — reducing contamination risk.

Expert Supervision

All sterilization and digital processes are supervised by a cross-functional team of:

  1. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
  2. Dentists and Assistants.
  3. Digital Technicians managing CAD/CAM and CBCT systems.
  4. Continuous in-house training and quarterly audits ensure alignment with international best practices.

Jaipur — The Future of Safe Dental Tourism
