5 Steps to Save a Knocked out Tooth

If a permanent tooth is knocked out, try putting it back in place and go to a dentist immediately. Incase its the milk tooth which is out, you may not really insert back. If you can’t put the permanent tooth back into position, place it in milk and contact your family dentist and Save Knocked out Tooth. Remain calm while you try to find the teeth. 

Pick it up gently, being extra careful to handle it by its crown and not by its roots. 

Gently remove any debris from the teeth. Look for fractures in the roots. If there are none, carefully replace it in its socket, or keep the tooth moist in a cup of milk or, if no milk is available, place the tooth in the mouth next to the cheek. 

Do not attempt to clean the teeth with hard scrubbing or cleaning agents as you could destroy vital nerve tissue. 

See a dentist immediately, preferably within thirty minutes of the accident.
