So why are dentists so sad?

Dentists have to deal with sad stories, traumatized patients, and bad breath every day. Dentists are in the business of removing teeth which can be traumatic for patients. They deal with patients who have oral diseases like oral cancer, periodontal diseases, and caries. They also deal with patients who have issues with their teeth like dental fractures or loose teeth. they are also the ones who need to put people under general anesthesia when they want to do complex oral surgeries.

Dentists also spend a lot of their time scraping and cleaning teeth that are already infected. They also have to deal with sad stories of people’s lives, which can definitely be affecting to them. And because dentists have to be in high demand, they have a lot of pressure on them.

Dentists are in constant demand but are still undervalued

There are in constant demand because people are always losing or breaking their teeth. Though they are in high demand, they are still undervalued. they are paid less than other medical doctors like physicians or nurses. They also don’t have the same kind of social status and recognition that the other medical doctors have. Medical doctors are considered to be healers and are looked up to and greatly respected in society. Dentists don’t have this same kind of respect and appreciation.
