In India, training in dentistry is through a 5 year course in Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)<\/a>, which includes 4 years of study and one year of internship. The Dental Council of India regulates the Dental education in India. After graduation, candidates may pursue the PG in Master of Dental Surgery (MDS).
