Cone-beam computed tomography creates cross-sectional and three-dimensional images of the jaws. What Is CAD-CAM Implant Dentistry?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

CAD means computer-aided design, while CAM means computer-aided manufacturing. The dental laboratory can use digital information to design an abutment, crown, bridge or full-arch framework. The restoration may then be milled or manufactured from materials such as titanium, zirconia, PEEK, PMMA or other suitable dental materials. Patient movement, guide instability, limited mouth opening and incorrect data alignment may affect the transfer of the virtual plan. The dentist must maintain safety margins and remain prepared to modify the approach during surgery. The presence of expensive equipment does not by itself guarantee a successful result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
